PC Support Services Terms & Conditions
 
Payment: Payment is due at time of service, unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Various payment options are available both for one-time service and for ongoing service agreements. 'PDQ' Technical Canada charges a $200 minimum charge for onsite service calls and remote service, which covers the two hours of service. Additional hours of service are billed at a rate of $40 for each 1/2 hour increment ($80/hr). For a single PC, we offer a maximum labour charge cap of $500 (including the first $200) or 6 hours (starting from arrival on-site or initial phone call).  New customers (without an existing relationship with 'PDQ' Technical Canada) may be asked for an advance deposit (typically $200) before any work is performed. A non-refundable advance Deposit of $100 is required for all PC Repairs to cover diagnostic fees. The deposit amount will be credited towards the total cost of the repair when completed (it is NOT an additional charge). Advance deposit (via Paypal) is mandatory for Remote Support Service in the absence of a prior relationship or arrangement. Paypal accepts credit cards, debit cards, checking account transfers, and paypal account payments on behalf of 'PDQ' Technical Canada (we never see your financial information). 
 
Additional Charges: Any additional expenses (airfare, mileage, vehicle rentals, accommodations, all meals, etc...) incurred by 'PDQ' Technical Canada for a project will be billed to the client and the balance must be paid in full before the day of commencement of work.
 
NSF: 'PDQ' Technical Canada at its discretion may also accepts personal and business checks with the understanding that any such instrument that is returned NSF will be subject to a $40 fee to cover bank charges, plus any legal or recovery fees necessary to collect on such instrument, plus a monthly surcharge of 5% of the balance due, calculated from the date of the original instrument.

Cancellation & Appointment Changes: Appointments made for Remote Service or On-Site Service are reserved for you. We are flexible and willing to adjust to meet your schedule and requirements and we ask that you give us some flexibility as well. Since we often do not know in advance how long an appointment will take, we may occasionally be delayed and off schedule. If that happens, we will notify you in advance as soon as we know we might be late for your appointment and give you the opportunity to adjust or reschedule. If something comes up and you can not keep your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can adjust or reschedule. On-Site appointments not kept, changed or cancelled (within 24 hours of their scheduled appointment) are subject to a trip charge of $100.00 plus mileage from central Richmond Hill (Yonge St. & Major Mac) to the client's site.

Donated Equipment: Any working systems or equipment that has been upgraded will be donated to a charitable organization of the clients choice or one suggested by 'PDQ' Technical Canada. Once the systems or equipment is released to 'PDQ' Technical Canada it is assumed that it has become the property of 'PDQ' and will be refurbished, donated or disposed of at the discretion of 'PDQ' Technical Canada.

System Back-up: 'PDQ' Technical Canada will assume that the back up typical personal information (documents, pictures, favorites) as been completed before we perform any work on the Client's system, please note that the ultimate responsibility for data backup and storage lies with the system's owner or representing agent. Since 'PDQ' Technical Canada can not be fully aware of which programs you use or what file, storage, or encryption conventions you have chosen, it is not possible to foresee all potential variables. It is up to the client to specifically ensure that a backup of stored email, address book, or calendar information (ie. Outlook, Outlook express, etc.) is preformed. Multiple user accounts or unusual amounts or types of data (ie. Quickbooks, custom applications, etc) may will incur additional charges, above 500 MB (megabytes)(you will be informed in advance). 'PDQ' Technical Canada can advise the client on what backup systems, policies or practices might best suit their situation, unless a contract with 'PDQ' Technical Canada is agreed upon specifically to manage the client's data and backups, we accept no liability for any lost data in conjunction with our repair services.
